2Pac impacted many people and things in the world. He greatly affected the music and more specifically the rap business. 2pac's influence has even reached schools and we have learned from his poetry. While on his way to do charity work and have an influence on children, he was shot and killed. He auctioned off some of his jewelery for charity. He had dreams of making the world a better place. He is a big reason why rap is what it is today.

Our group is a fan of 2Pac's music. We like his songs because he talks about his life and what he went through growing up in poverty around violence and drugs. A lot of people who grew up in similar places can relate to what he is saying and almost everybody has gone through tough times in their lives and that is what his writing focuses on. Also, his voice was great so it went along with the good beats to his songs. Even though he died at a young age, his music still was great and was and was appreciated throughout America.
AfeniShakur is TupacShakur's mother she was imprisoned in the Women's House of Detention in Greenwich Village while she was pregnant with TupacShakur. Tupac Amaru Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in Brooklyn, NY. Afeni first named her son Lesane Parish Crooks and while he was still young she changed it to Tupac Amaru Shakur. Tupac mainly grew up in the the streets of Oakland, California. Tupac started writing poetry when he was very young. He was also interested in acting two and he wanted to become a famous actor.His family believed he was very good in acting so his mother entered him in the 127th Street Ensemble, a theatre group in Harlem where he landed his first role at age twelve, that of Travis in A Raisin in the Sun. At age 15 Tupac started writing lyrics and walking with swagger. He went to Baltimore School for the Arts and studied acting and ballet with white kids. At first he believed that white kids where evil because that what people said but then he notice he could really get along with them and they were normal people.By the time Tupac was twenty he had been arrested eight times he even served eight months in prison after being convicted of sexual abuse.In the late 80's Tupac teamed up with Humpty-Hump and other Oakland-based rappers. In 1990, the group released its debut and best album. In 1992 Tupac entered the best five year period of his life he broke free of D.U. and made his solo debut. That same year he strated in Juice a film about gangs witch had some hollywood succeses . In 1993 he recorded and released Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. this album crossed over the pop charts. In November of 1994, he was shot five times during a robbery witch theives took $40,000 of his jewlery. Tupac recovered from this and came out with a new album called me against the world witch sold two million copies. As his carreer began to take a steep rise Tupac was shot and killed after watching Mike Tyson fight. Tupac was shot september,7,1996 and died september ,13,1996
